The Brisbane Basket Brigade community is an incredible group of people who understand how challenging the festive season can be for some families. Together, we bring a little extra joy to those who need it most.

This year, we’ve seen an increase in requests for support, and we want to make sure every family has something special to unwrap. Right now, we’re especially in need of gifts for some of our youngest recipients:

• 👶 Girls 0–12 months

Setting Up Your Wishing Tree

​

Setting up a Wishing Tree can be as simple or as creative as you like. Once you register, you’ll receive a link to our Resource Library with helpful flyers, gift ideas, and information sheets to get you started.

Gift Guidelines

​

Each gift should be:

​

• Age-appropriate, valued around $15–$20 for general gifts 

​

• New only – no second-hand goods (including books)

​

• Free from offensive, political, or religious content, and must not include alcohol or gambling products

​

• No clothing, though accessories like hats, socks, or jewellery are welcome

​

• Preferably unwrapped – if wrapped, please attach a secure label with age and gender (e.g., Boy, age 5)

​

• Multiple gifts in one parcel are fine, just make sure they’re packaged together (but not wrapped)
