Welcome to Basket Buddies 2026!
For more than 20 years, Basket Brigades have been bringing local communities together to support families doing it tough at Christmas. By becoming a Basket Buddy, you'll help provide essential groceries and festive food packages to families across Greater Brisbane.
Simply choose a shopping list, collect the items throughout the year, and deliver your completed basket before Christmas.
Whether you're an individual, family, workplace, school or community group, every basket helps make Christmas brighter for someone in need. Together, we're creating hope—one basket at a time.
How It Works
1. Sign up as a Basket Buddy so we can plan for the number of families we'll support and keep you updated throughout the campaign.
2. Choose Your Shopping List - Our shopping lists ensure every family receives a consistent selection of practical and festive food items. Select the basket that suits you:
3. Shop Your Way - Add one or two items to your regular grocery shop or purchase everything at once—whatever works best for you.
4. Deliver Your Basket - Drop your completed basket at one of our collection points or bring it to our Packing Weekend.
Shopping as a Group?
Workplaces, schools, sporting clubs and community groups are encouraged to participate. Simply register for a Bulk Basket, and we'll combine your donated items to create baskets for larger families.
